WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Technical degree or certification in diesel mechanics, agricultural mechanics or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with tractors or heavy equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in tractors.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and parts.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Perform diagnostic tests on tractors to identify faults and issues.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including changing oil, filters, and belts, lubricating parts, and adjusting engine components.
- Use electronic diagnostic equipment and computer software to locate and diagnose faults in tractors.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities performed on each tractor.
- Communicate with customers to explain repairs and maintenance required on their tractors.
- Advise customers on best practices for maintaining their tractors to prevent future problems.
- Provide recommendations for regular maintenance and inspections to prevent future breakdowns.
- Advise customers on how to operate their tractors safely and effectively.
- Provide guidance on how to identify and respond to potential problems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned:
Attend training sessions and workshops to stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends
