Trade Marketing Specialist

Job Summary:

Our client in the FMCG Industry is actively recruiting for a Trade Marketing Specialist that will develop and execute trade marketing plans that align with overall brand strategies to drive sales and market share in retail channels. This role involves close collaboration with the sales team, product managers, and external partners to ensure the effective promotion of products and alignment with the company's marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement trade marketing strategies and plans for assigned brands and products.
    • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the sales team to understand their needs and develop trade marketing initiatives that support sales goals.
    • Liaise with product managers to ensure product positioning and messaging are consistent across all marketing channels.
  • Performance Analysis:
    • Monitor and analyze the performance of trade marketing activities and campaigns.
    • Prepare reports and presentations on campaign effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).
  • Budget Management:
    • Manage trade marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
    • Track expenses and ensure all activities are within budget.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, distributors, and key stakeholders.
    • Negotiate promotional agreements and contracts with retail partners.
  • Market Research:
    • Conduct regular market visits to gather insights and assess the effectiveness of trade marketing activities.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in trade marketing.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure all trade marketing activities comply with company policies, brand guidelines, and legal regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7 - 10 years of experience in trade marketing, within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or retail industry.
Skills:
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, analytics tools).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Deep understanding of retail environments, shopper behavior, and trade marketing principles.
