SAICA trainee position is available for a candidate working towards CA and RA designation in Cape Town.
Job requirements:
- Level: Trainee (SAICA Training Programme)
- Our specialised and growing audit practice is looking to employ a bright and independent trainee who wants to qualify as a Chartered Accountant.
- Trainee accountant undertaking the SAICA Training Program and IRBA Audit Development Program.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. English main language, bilingual Afrikaans a plus.
- Be very comfortable with, and have a general understanding of, computers and software, with an ability to learn new software easily.
- Have working knowledge of Word and Excel. Experience with Caseware, Taxware, and Pastel advantageous but not required.
- Have strong analytical ability and work well under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality of work.
- Be deadline driven and able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Have a strong desire to learn and develop in the position in line with furthering your traineeship.
- Be studying towards or in possession of a SAICA recognised B Com Degree or similar qualification from a South African University which is accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
- Valid Drivers license and own reliable transport
Job responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping, accounting reports and related services
- Assurance, review and compilation engagements
- Tax calculations, submissions and advice for Income Tax, VAT, DWT and PAYE
- Ad hoc related services (risk assessments, client advice, valuations)
- Completion of the required SIACA Training Program competencies and related documentation
- Any other related tasks
