Overview: • Successful candidates chosen to participate in the trainee programme, will receive on the job training and experience they will need to become an Area Manager. • Trainees will learn supervisory as well as technical skills in line with the company’s operational goals and strategies. • Experience will be gained in liaising with Mine Management, Area planning and creating action plans for the area, training newly appointed staff, Human Resources, Store and HR Administration, Employment Equity, Succession Planning, Stock Control, Finance, Marketing, Customer Service, Health and Safety and all company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: • The trainee’s responsibilities and duties will include (but not limited to) participate in all activities, learn new skills and demonstrate an increase level of proficiency with regards to Managerial responsibilities. • The trainee will be given tasks to increase skills in making decisions which will be inherent in a management position, with regards to people management, operations management, Information Technology management and stock control management. People Management: • Under the guidance of an experienced Area Manager, the trainee will participate in tasks such as interviewing, motivation, discipline, managing PMP’s effectively, conflict resolution and general Human Resources Administration. By gaining experience in these activities, the trainee will have the skills necessary to lead their own team. • It will be expected of the Trainee Area Manager to serve as a role model for Customer Service and also to set the pace for service excellence for all employees.
) Matric Essential. b) Minimum - Diploma in Business Management 2 Experience a) 4 years experience in Retail b) Computer Literacy essential – Microsoft Office. c) Full Knowledge of POS system (STATS) d) Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
