Santam's Operations business unit has a position available for a Training Consultant (Contact Centre Training), who will be based in the Contact Centre Training department. The successful candidate will be based at Santam Office in Auckland Park or Santam Head Office in Tyger Valley.
Job Description
This role is focused on servicing the product and systems training needs for Santam Operations and will require travel to other regions.
Primary Accountabilities
- To co-ordinate and conduct training sessions in products, systems, processes and selected behavioural topics, that will lead to the improvement of knowledge and skills for Santam employees, as well as the ability to improve their current job performance and results.
- To coordinate and conduct training and development programs on Santam content to improve individual and organizational performance.
- To coach and support post-training, to enable embedment and application of training back at the workplace.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric
- Appropriate Industry specific qualification or accreditation (e.g. Short-term insurance or IISA qualification)
- Knowledge of Santam products
- Understanding of Santams systems
- Good understanding of business processes and service level agreements
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in the banking or financial services industry
- Education Training and Development Practitioner (ETDP) Qualification and/or Accreditation (Train the Trainer, Assessor, Moderator, and Verifier)
- Report writing experience
- Sound knowledge of Financial Services Industry practices and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of Short Term Insurance products, services and policies.
- Understanding of the Learning and Development Legislative environment (SAQA/NQF, FSC, COGP)
- Basic understanding of the Training Value Chain Cycle (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation)
- Client engagement and Facilitation skills

- Fully computer literate (MS Office package )
