- Planning of all loads, as generated by customer orders, to ensure that orders are delivered as per customers requirements in order to achieve our customer service levels, as per our service charter.
- Reconcile shipment files weekly for audit purposes.
- To liaise at all times with all team members and work as a team to reach targets set by the Departmental Manager.
- Manage POD with the transporters to ensure best service to customers.
- Control and review cost of transporters to ensure correct rates on system.
- Assess performance of transporter and address any failures.
- The best suited candidate for this role must have matric and a diploma or Degree in Logistics/Warehousing and/or Transport Management will be advantageous.
- They should have extraordinary knowledge of various vehicle configurations / restrictions, good understanding of AARTO regulations and good understanding of the major transport routes and regional splits of South Africa as a whole.
- The ideal candidate must have good communication and customer service skills with strong administrative skills.
- As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning of all domestics loads, as generated by customer orders, to ensure that orders are delivered as per customers requirements in order to satisfy our customers demand.
