Job Description & Summary
A career in our Oracle Risk Assurance practice, within Information Technology Risk Assurance will allow you to develop and apply strategies that help clients leverage enterprise technologies so they can get a higher return on their investment, mitigate risks, streamline processes, and find operational inefficiencies. The work revolves around creative problem solving and applying innovative technologies to enable strategies that increase the value of the applications that run our clients business, mitigate risk and find operational inefficiencies.
Our focus is on creating effective and efficient design for the most important business, security and compliance processes for our clients. We touch on aspects of application security, areas prone to fraud and financial misstatement, and streamline processes that are part of our clients core business so they can get a higher return on this key investment. Using innovative, and proprietary technologies, we help to bridge the gap between business stakeholders, compliance functions and Information Technology teams to assist in understanding how to embrace new ways of working, while limiting their financial and operational risk profile. We use knowledge of financial system design, risk mitigation, business process design, data integrity, security and use of data analytics.

It exists in various forms, from potential cybersecurity breaches to possible breaks in the supply chain. Risk cannot be avoided altogether, but it can be managed and mitigated. And, a business can prepare for what may be lurking around the corner. Thats where PwC's Risk Assurance practice comes in.
To apply for the risk assurance programme:
You may apply for the IT Risk Assurance programme at any time during the final year of your undergraduate degree or during your honours year.
You will need a strong academic background and one or more of the following qualifications:
- Undergraduate or Honours degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science and/or Engineering
- Good interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm, drive, determination and output driven
- Leadership potential, professionalism and integrity
- Proficiency in English and good communication skills
- Deadline-driven
- Attention to detail
- Logical thinking
- Broader business knowledge, ability to think out of the box to deliver quality solutions that our clients seek
- Good knowledge of IT architecture
You will work closely with IT, business, audit and risk to align business processes and risk to the business environment. You will identify risks and recommend mitigating controls.
