Position Summary: Organizes, leads, and participates in food service operations at a school site. Oversees quantity food preparation working from and adapting pre-planned menus. Orders and maintains an inventory of food items as well as food service records in compliance with state and federal requirements.

Salary: $21.50 - $28.46 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on experience (new hire maximum of step 5).
Location: Orchard Elementary
Hours: 8 hours/day; 5 days/week

Education and Experience: The position typically requires a High School diploma plus post high school training in meal planning, nutrition, sanitation, business administration, recordkeeping, cafeteria management dietetics or related field and 3 years of experience in institutional cooking in an education or equivalent setting.
Licenses and Certifications: Requires valid California Drivers License and a food safety manager certificate.
