Job Description
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to join our banking team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing intuitive and seamless user experiences for our digital banking products, ensuring a customer-centric approach. As a UI/UX Designer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other stakeholders, to translate business needs into innovative digital solutions.
This role is ideal for a candidate with a passion for creating user-friendly interfaces and improving the overall user experience, specifically within the banking and financial services industry.
Qualifications
Key Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UX case studies, user interfaces, and digital product designs.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or other relevant software.
- Experience with prototyping tools like InVision, Marvel, or Axure.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end development (a plus).
- User-Centered Design:
- Ability to design customer-centric products by gathering insights from users and applying UX principles.
- Experience in conducting user research, usability testing, and creating customer journey maps and personas.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with stakeholders, developers, and other designers.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams in an Agile or Scrum environment.
- Experience in designing financial services applications (e.g., mobile banking apps, payment systems, digital wallets).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and how they apply to banking platforms (e.g., WCAG compliance).
- Understanding of security best practices in the design of banking apps.
Key Responsibilities:
- User Experience Design:
- Design customer-focused experiences for digital banking applications, websites, and mobile platforms.
- Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys to understand customer needs, behaviours, and pain points.
- Create user personas, customer journey maps, and wireframes to represent the user experience.
- User Interface Design:
- Design aesthetically pleasing, intuitive, and responsive user interfaces for web and mobile banking products.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Ensure that all designs adhere to the banks brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency across platforms.
- User Research & Usability Testing:
- Conduct usability testing sessions and A/B tests to gather user feedback and optimize designs.
- Analyze user behavior and interaction data to refine and enhance user experiences continuously.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate user feedback into design iterations.
- Collaboration with Development Teams:
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure the successful implementation of UI/UX designs.
- Provide detailed design specifications, assets, and guidance to developers to ensure the accurate execution of the designs.
- Communicate design ideas and prototypes effectively to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Industry and Market Research:
- Stay up to date on the latest design trends, UI/UX best practices, and emerging technologies, specifically within the banking industry.
- Research competitor products and services to understand current market standards and identify opportunities for innovation in digital banking.
