Account Manager/Sales Representative

Reporting structure: Position reports to (External) Sales Manager

Job Specifications

Position is responsible for the management of sales and building customer relationships. The position requires

selling of technical products and provide supporting services to meet the customers demands and as result

generate sales for the Company. Tasks and duties may vary but main duties include:
  • Develop a sales plan for growing the companys client base
  • Identify top prospects that will be targeted by you for active pursuit.
  • Manage sales and pricing to allow achievement of Company Margins
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Complete the companys daily reporting structure detailing factors such as: whereabouts, client
potential, prospects, feedback, successes and failures.
  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective
customers
  • Identify, research and resolve customer issues
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships with current and new
client base
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Analyse the territory/markets potential, track sales and status reports
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximise satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Achieve agreed upon visit and call ratio
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Keep proper record of all pricing requests and feedback
  • Attend sales meetings and training sessions with the seriousness required
  • Complete any sales related reports as requested by company
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interest, competitive activities, and
potential for new products and services
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Follow company procedures at all times
  • Assist with the launch and implementation of new products
  • Attend to all emails and queries quick and effectively
