The role:

Were looking for a Senior Urban Designer to join our dynamic Urban Design team in Cape Town. Youll be working on varied projects, collaborating closely with our architectural clients and colleagues and influencing the thinking behind some of our most striking building projects. This role is ideal for experienced urban designers who are highly motivated to deliver innovative concepts that fully express our design ethos, and who have a deep understanding of how urban design fits into the bigger picture of design within the built environment.

Requirements

Well consider you for interview if:

You have at least five years of post-graduate experience in urban design

You can demonstrate experience in and passion for urban design

You have successfully managed complex urban design projects across a range of scales

Your experience includes building effective relationships with clients and consultants while coordinating projects

You are self-motivated and highly organised with strong, demonstrable design capabilities, drawing and graphics skills

You have suitably advanced skills in writing reports and the ability to work on a broad range of urban design projects

You must be demonstrably proficient in standard industry software including Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp and the Adobe Suite.

An academic qualification in urban design and/or registration with SACAP and/or UDISA would be an advantage
