We're hiring a User Experience Analyst (Researcher) to help to understand, empathise and synthesise user data to help inform the team to create amazing and memorable experiences. You will use your research skills to help lead, analyse and interpret data gathered from our analytical tools or engaging with users (surveys, interviews, moderate usability tests). You will actively help in identifying trends and behaviour in our data and provide huma-centric recommendations across all our touch points in Ozow. Additionally, you will help build Ozow to be the most loved FinTech company in Africa. In this role, we encourage you to always have our users at the heart of all of your research (either using best practices and / or being informed based on data and insights).
Your roles and responsibilities:
- Identify user problems and challenges that needs to be solved using research and data
- Work closely with the Data and Insights team to synthesise various data and insights
- Facilitate gathering of requirements from stakeholders and team members
- Facilitate and lead the UX Research process across Ozow and various touch points
- Help the UX Designers by providing insights from data and research
- Set up and facilitate various interviews and tests
- Conduct user research (surveys, desktop research, interviews, observational studies, etc)
- Continuously read and interpret quantitative data from tools like Google Analytics and Looker
- Continuously analyse and synthesise user research and data
- Follows a human-centric process to solve the problem
- Recommend tracking and analytics to track success and behaviour within our solutions
- Visualise the research outputs;
- User Flows
- Customer Journey Maps
- Task Flows
- Information Architecture
- Low Fidelity Wireframes & Interactive Prototypes
- Validate solutions using testing activities such as Usability Testing, Guerilla Testing, RITE Method, etc
- Provide recommendations of measurement of success of the solution using various metrics
- 3 5 years of experience in User Experience
- Experience in fintech or technology companies
- Case studies of previous work
- A certification in User Experience (or something similar, i.e. Research, Interaction Design, Design Thinking or Behavioural Sciences)
- Has a clear understanding of Figma
- A passion in solving problems for humans
- A passion in data and identifying opportunities for improvement
- The courage and patience to be in a fast-paced company that is scaling quickly
- A fail early, fail quickly and fail inexpensively way of thinking
- The ability to champion the user in all your research
- The ability to customise the UXD process based on the problems we are trying to solve
- Skills in both applying UX research process and creating visually aesthetic solutions
- The ability to work closely within an Agile team and to deliver informed designs
