Responsible to provide User Interface design direction and design leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of specialists who are committed to designing the future of financial services and delivering unique and innovative digital solutions and experiences. This role requires solid experience with User Interface design, usability, web development technologies, and interfacing these technologies with front end user interface system.
Requirements
- Matric (essential)
- Bachelors Degree in visual design or related qualification (essential)
- Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) or similar certification would be desirable
- 4+ years UI/UX experience
- A portfolio of recent work done
- Financial services experience is an advantage
- Design system experience is an advantage
- Experience with working with frontend technologies is an advantage
Ensure the best possible User Experience for the Momentum digital channels.
- Accountable for the development, maintenance and sharing of the Momentum design system (DS).
- Build and maintain the DS platform (web, app, adviser)
- Manage the DS maturity and create new DS components, oversee and manage team contributions
- Facilitate the use and adoption of the DS across many different development teams within Momentum
- Accountable for the consistency, quality and reuse of the final interfaces (Digital design and UI designs) across all Momentum platforms
- Create, maintain and oversee platform design and UX/UI standards
- Work closely with UX manager, channel managers and other stakeholder for strategic input, roadmap alignment and project planning
- Manage a team of (6+) UI, product designers (UX and UI designers) and frontend developer(s) to execute on platform and omnichannel designs
- Collaborate with marketing and brand teams to ensure that digital designs are in alignment with Momentum CI and marketing goals
- Work with the development team, testers, and other team functions to ensure that user experience and design specifications are implemented
- Train all new UI designers and contractors and support all UX and UI designers to deliver according to platform standards and best-practice and user-centered design approach
- Guide designers to work in alignment with platform and omnichannel strategy
- Conduct research and recommendations for further enhancements and optimisation
- Encourage a culture of innovation, exploration and teamwork.
- Line manage 6+ UX/UI and FE dev
- Coaching and developing UX/UI skills and design talent within the team.
