We are a small accounting, tax, auditing and consulting firm. We have a vacancy for an accounting clerk.
Job responsibilities:
- Drafting of Annual Financial statements in Audit mate or excel
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for clients
- Preparation of Vat returns for clients and submission on e-filing
- Meeting with clients to discuss and approve the annual accounts
- Supervising and assisting various bookkeepers/accountants employed by our clients
- Preparation of Income tax returns for clients and submission on e-filing
- Preparation of payroll for clients.
- Preparation of Paye returns for clients and submission on e-filing
Job requirements:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills·
- The ability to pay high attention to detail
- The ability to work independently
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Ability to deal effectively with individuals at all levels;
- Up to date with accounting and tax standards.
- Willingness to learn
- Thorough accounting & bookkeeping knowledge, including preparation of books to trial balance and completion of management accounts is essential.
- 3 years’ experience working in an accounting department within a practice would be ideal.
- Auditmate / Accountsmate Working Papers experience.
- Fully conversant with IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, Income Tax Act & VAT Act.
- Highly PC literate with advanced Excel knowledge.
- Preference to candidates living in Queensburgh.
- Appropriate tertiary qualification.
