Job vacancy for a learning facilitator/instructor - Forestry/Sawmilling - White River.
Job responsibilities:
- The learning facilitator is responsible for conducting training and assessments on specific levels of trainees on Forestry related courses in the fields of Harvesting, Silviculture and Fire prevention and Protection.
- Presentation and assessments of technical and non-technical forestry and sawmill related courses
- Updating of training material to ensure that it complies with all necessary standards
- Completion of training programme administration and invoicing documentation
- Advise line management on deviation and improvements identified during training that will reduce cost and increase productivity
- Ensure compliance to the SHE and Risk programme of MTO Training
- Planning and organizing all documentation and training materials required for the training intervention
- Evaluation of training interventions
- Ensure that resources are available for all training interventions (venues, transport, meals, accommodation and equipment)
- Provide administrative support to the Training Manager
- Assist in ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks as required by the Training Manager for the purpose of the department
- General support to the training department
Job requirements:
- Grade 12
- Qualified facilitator and assessor
- 3-5 years’ experience at Instructor level in the forestry field
- Must be in possession of a valid drivers’ license (min. EB)and PrDP
- Must be computer literate
- Must be medically fit
- Energetic / meticulous / assertive / results driven
- Be fully conversant in spoken and written English/ local language and be able to communicate at ease with all levels of staff and clients
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills and be customer service orientated
- Must be able to work without supervision
- Must have sound Health and Safety knowledge
