Here at Newnham Court Veterinary Hospital we are excited to be recruiting for a Student Veterinary Nurse to join our team.
We are looking for an individual who possesses great communication skills, is passionate about promoting exceptional animal care and enjoys working in a team environment.
This is a full time role working Monday - Friday 40 hours a week with 1:4 Weekends and 1:8 Bank Holidays.
Experience And Qualifications Needed
Our ideal applicant will be reliable with a willingness to learn and to be able to work within a team. Previous experience in a veterinary environment is essential.
- Five GCSEs at grade C and above (or equivalent), which must include English language, maths and a science subject.
- An animal nursing assistant (ANA) or veterinary care assistant (VCA) qualification, along with functional skills level two in application of number and communication.
- Salary in line with National Minimum Wage
- 6 weeks leave a year (5 weeks plus bank holidays/equivalent) rising to 7.6 weeks leave a year after first 5 years of service (1 extra day per annum based on service)
