Position Overview
The Sales Lead Generator's primary role is to identify sales prospects and cultivate relationships, serving as the driving force behind the development and management of sales opportunities for their clients, encompassing both existing and potential customers. This is a permanent, full-time, remote-working role (Monday Friday). After hours work may after-hours ensure work deadlines are met. Weekend work is very rare but can occasionally be necessary.
Requirements
Work Experience:
- Candidate must have experience working in a formal business environment. This could include small, medium, or large corporate business.
- Minimum 5 years working in a business role.
- The ability to interact with senior people at a management level.
- The candidates work experience should involve roles that required interacting with people, this could include other departments, managers, suppliers and/or external customers.
- Previous experience in sales is advantageous.
- Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, MS Teams, Excel, Word etc...
- Experience in utilising a CRM system would be advantageous.
- Dedicated and quiet home office space available.
- A current Laptop/desktop computer is required, not older than 3 years, minimum CORE i5 processor.
- Internet access is required, which is suitable for online work and the attending of online meetings.
- Cellular phone line to make sales calls.
- Web Camera for online meetings.
- Must have a backup solution in case of load-shedding or power failure.
Sales Functions:
- Create sales opportunities on behalf of corporate customers.
- Engage all prospective leads on behalf of corporate customers.
- Manage corporate customer relationships.
- Assist corporate customers with chasing up on their sales proposals.
- Manage and diarize appointments on behalf of customers.
- Work towards targets and sales activities.
- Strong administrative skills, managing data in the client CRM or other customer CRM system.
- Generate Internal weekly and monthly sales reports.
- External weekly/monthly sales reporting for corporate customers.
- Attendance of internal company meetings.
- Ensure service level agreements are met.
- Attendance of external customer weekly and/or monthly sales meetings (online only).
- Articulate, professional and a strong command of the English language both verbal and written.
- Professional email writing.
- Strong telephone etiquette.
- Excellent relationship-building skills able to manage relationships with customers and their prospective clients.
- Strong work ethic and integrity.
