Minimum Requirements
- Matric with a BCom in Logistics/Supply Chain, a Diploma, or a related qualification
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP experience is beneficial
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as an Assistant Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Manager within the FMCG, Manufacturing, or Plastics industries a must (Must be a Warehouse not a DC)
- Strong attention to detail, motivation, self-discipline, and customer focus
- Team player with excellent planning and organizational skills
- High energy, reliability, and flexibility
- Experience managing a team of over 80 employees
- Oversee day-to-day management of employees, including training and related matters
- Manage staff performance, setting goals, and KPIs
- Reconcile theoretical stock with actual stock
- Ensure stock is neatly stacked and packed in designated areas
- Facilitate the timely and accurate distribution of products
- Address and resolve stock and product discrepancies
- Conduct monthly stock takes and report findings to the manager
- Supervise the correct loading and offloading of products
- Implement and maintain controls to minimize stock damage
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures
- Address and rectify unsafe working conditions promptly
- Report all ineffective work procedures and departmental concerns to the manager
- Maintain high standards of personal behaviour as outlined in the employee handbook
- Monitor access to the warehouse area
- Ensure correct usage of safety equipment (e.g., ear plugs, protective clothing)
- Maintain good housekeeping and security within the warehouse
