We are a 3PL logistical ecommerce service provider with a national network specialising in complete warehousing and distribution services. We are looking for an effective Warehouse Oerations Supervisor to direct receiving, warehousing and distribution operations at our Wadeville (Gauteng) depot.
The key objectives of this position is to oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products.
The key outcome areas of this position is to ensure that productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
Because you’re needed throughout the warehouse in different areas, you’ll need to have excellent multi-task skills.
Remuneration will be depending on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities:
Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
All aspects of staff management including training, performance management and disciplinary action.
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies.
Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees.
Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.
Processing orders and planning the dispatching of products.
Monitoring space and tracking stock levels.
Setting aside storage areas for new stock.
Requirements:
Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification.
Minimum 4-5 years’ experience with Distribution / Dispatch / Receiving / Stock Inventory / Stock Control.
Minimum 3-5 years’ Supervisor experience – management of staff, disciplinary action, housekeeping.
Must be prepared to work overtime and long hours when needed.
Experience with stock takes, stock integrity and stock control.
IT proficiency with experience in Warehouse Management Systems essential.
