Warehouse Operator

Our team in Prospecton, Durban currently has an opening for a Warehouse Operator

Responsible for the safe and efficient physical receipts, dispatch, storage, material handling and cleaning duties in the warehouse and general operational areas.

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Physical material Receiving / Picking / Loading /Offloading

Physical material quantity checks

Check materials for obvious damages and quality related issues.

Responsible for neat and safe stacking of materials

Cycle Counts - Responsible for cycle counting of materials and reporting stock position i.e., damaged, expired, etc.

Maintain Good Housekeeping Practices in your area of responsibility.

Decanting of products as required

Reporting of non-conformances, incidents, and near-misses

Reporting of general maintenance issues.

Provide input to QSHE during incident investigations as required.

Comply with Safety (including Process Safety), Health, Quality and Environment standards.

Comply with governance and established policies, systems, procedures, and practices

YOUR PROFILE

• Matric or equivalent qualification
• Working experience within the chemicals industry (food/pharma/DG and non-DG goods)
• Ability to perform physical labour
• Knowledge of GWP (Good Warehousing Practice) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), as applicable would be advantageous
