Job Purpose
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible to monitor all activities within the warehouse including staff supervision and picking plans executions to ensure the efficiency of the warehouse and adherence to SOPs and Health and Safety act.
Responsibilities
- Monitor warehouse staff and warehouse workload - ensuring that that work is being performed according to picking plan and SOP.
- Ensure that warehouse staff are always presentable and adhere to safety equipment usage.
- Manage the attendance register for all warehouse staff, update register daily and monitor working hours.
- Capture all leave requests for warehouse staff on ESS system.
- Organize and manage transport for warehouse staff daily.
- Organize and manage money for food for late workers.
- Ensure that all staff are security searched when exiting the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance of established procedures and regulations within the warehouse according to SOP and Health and Safety act.
- Ensure that collection cage is cleared if not collected.
- Monitor the security of the dispatches cages by ensuring that they remain locked until loading takes place.
- Print all invoices and delivery notes for orders. Ensure that all stock going out from the cages have the correct documentation attached.
- Ensure that stock replenishment is done timeously daily, and pallets are packed correctly in bins to avoid overhanging. Monitor stock rotation within the warehouse.
- Daily checking of warehouse equipment/assets in working order, ensure sufficient check such as forklift, RF scanners, trolleys, ladders etc. Report faults timeously to management.
- Assisting distribution with delivery schedules and organizing loads, including urgent or special delivery arrangement through inventory management.
- Effective Warehouse Administration.
- Warehouse Housekeeping.
- Grade 12.
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain / Warehousing (Beneficial).
- Warehouse Supervisor 3 years within the FMCG environment.
- Warehouse Management system.
