My client, a listed company with 4 online e commerce stores, is looking for a web developer e commerce developer to join the team in Lonehill, Johannesburg
The main focus for this position will be online customer experience and developing highly customised solutions to enhance the user experience.
Main JOB Requirements:
Extensive experience in implementing Magento Ecommerce solutions.
Five years of software development and coding experience.
Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming and the Linux, Apache, Mysql, PHP stack.
Firm understanding of internet and web service concepts.
A strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
Experience in building scalable, high performing and robust eCommerce applications
Responsive Design experience - ideally both browser and mobile.
Experience with integrating outside APIs (Al-Pro/Facebook/Twitter/Google Maps/Payment Processors)
Experience with eCommerce and Google's packages e.g. Analytics, PPC, Webmaster tools and Base
An understanding of SEO marketing and related tools
A track record of writing code that is clean, understandable and cross browser compatible
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Experience developing Responsive/Adaptive Design solutions (RWD)
Understanding of building complex interactive UI uses the latest approaches
Experience refactoring existing code to improve readability, code reuse, performance, and maintainability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field desired, but not required.
- Project Management experience
Salary: Negotiable around R600k pa (Will go up to R800k for the right candidate). Company offers benefits and profit share as well as growth opportunities and stability.
