Mid-level WordPress WebMaster
We're on the search for a talented Mid-level WordPress Webmaster to join our digital agency. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to grow quickly. To excel in this role you should be a strong WordPress Web designer/developer with experience managing the maintenance and updates of a number of websites simultaneously.
Salary: R18, 000 - R28, 000pm CTC depending on experience
Contract: Three-month probation period then permanent position.
Team: We're a small team of women and are looking for a like-minded individual who is down-to-earth, passionate and a high-energy hard worker. It might not be the role for someone looking for a big agency experience. You need to be confident and able to self-manage.
Working hours: 9am 5pm (Hybrid - 2-days in office)
Location: Black River Park, Observatory
Core Skills & Software Knowledge Required:
- WordPress and related eCommerce plugins such as WooCommerce
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager setup and reporting knowledge
- CSS & HTML coding experience
- Cpanel & KonsoleH experience
- SEO knowledge and experience
Daily tasks:
- Monthly plugin updates
- Designing WordPress websites (Mobile-first approach)
- Designing ad hoc landing pages
- Maintaining WooCommerce and Shopify websites
- Uploading blog posts and doing SEO checks
- Basic SEO updates
- Optimising images for web
- Development support on existing web projects
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Search Console & Data Studio setup/monitoring
- Web content management
- Regular site speed tests
- Website maintenance reporting
- Troubleshooting potential threats and hacks
