Duties
- The employee shall be employed in the post of Wet / Mechanical Services Draughtsman in which capacity he/she shall devote all his /her time, attention and skill and shall at all times act in the best interests of the Group.
- The employee undertakes to diligently perform such duties and exercise such powers as may from time to time be assigned to him by the Board.
- The employee shall comply with all the reasonable and lawful orders of the Board and with the Policies and Procedures from time to time in force.
- The employee shall ensure he is given a copy of the Policies and Procedures during the probationary period.
- Should he/she have any queries he shall raise them during the probationary period, during which they shall be deemed to be incorporated into this agreement.
- The employees normal working hours shall be from 08h00 to 17h00 Monday to Friday with half an hour lunch break, and such additional hours (without further remuneration) as may be necessary for the proper performance of his duties.
- Ensure that the quality of services provided by the personnel employed by the employee and/or KZN is of a high standard and is in accordance with Best Industry Practice;
- Use his/her best endeavours, skill and knowledge to promote the welfare of the Group, assist to meet the Groups objectives and adhere to the Policies and Procedures;
- Submit to the Board, such information and reports as may be required of the employee in connection with the performance of his/her duties;
- Maintain a professional relationship with all customers, suppliers and trade connections of the Group with a view to maintaining and improving the Group's reputation and goodwill;
- Use his/her best endeavours to promote and extend the business of the Group;
- Carry out Wet / Mechanical services draughting work;
- Carry out Wet / Mechanical services Revit and CAD draughting work;
- Carry out Wet / Mechanical Services design work;
- Attend site, co-ordination, design and all other project meetings;
- Perform site inspections;
- Liaise with relevant supply authorities;
- Liaise with other consultants;
- Travel overseas or in remote places in South Africa and Africa;
- Co-ordinating projects internally for the Group;
- Adhere to the corporate dress code of the Group at all times, which is smart casual. A tie is recommended but not necessary;
- Adhere to the company policy of filling in timesheets on a weekly basis.
- 3 years' experience as a wet services design draftsperson
- AutoCAD 2018 (or higher) with minimum 3 years' experience.
- Revit MEP 2018 (or higher) with minimum 3 years' experience.
- Knowledge of basic design principles and applications of fire system.
- Knowledge of basic design principles and applications of Wet Services
- Valid passport
