Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job Purpose:
This role will drive and facilitate communication and workflow from the furniture buying department to key internal departments within the company such as marketing, visual merchandising, retail, and training. This position will also organize and oversee the execution of the buying plan, ensuring all new products as decided in the range review comes to life and the execution is managed from inception through to completion.

This role creates and manages the central product development plan that outlines the tasks, timelines, and resources required to execute on buying plan, product development and all internal communication thereof. The successful candidate is responsible for communicating with the design and buying teams, monitor progress to ensure that the product development stays on track and that the products are launched on time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of the Furniture Buying team, overseeing the day-to-day activities and responsibilities.
  • Drive new product plan and liaise with furniture buying team to ensure execution from inception through to completion.
  • Set up a platform / process that allows management and control of all product development.
  • Preparing images and information on active ranges and briefing in product lookbooks to Weylandtstudio.
  • Submitting final store lookbooks to Visual Merchandising team.
  • Preparing seasonal store setting lookbooks.
  • Range presentations Initiating and scheduling meetings, while assisting to collate range presentation information.
  • Preparing product information for marketing materials and ensuring Weylandstudio has the required information to develop a creative concept for the brief.
  • Submit marketing briefs to the marketing department.
  • Submit training briefs.
  • Brief Weylandtstudio and R&D team on new product design projects and ensure design briefs are completed and submitted to suppliers in line with the product timelines and launch dates.
  • Ensure all relevant information on new products is conveyed to the various internal departments.
  • Compile images/information post fair into presentations
  • Liaising with marketing to assist with arranging stock movements and allocations for on location shoots.
  • You will be responsible for collating information on furniture products in response to business needs, ensuring that the brand pillars are referenced through all training and information that is fed to staff and customers.
  • Prepare Briefs for Marketing, VM & Training as required.
  • In store signage ensure store has right information and brief in. Sign off final spec of signage.
Technical Skills:
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience in project managing
  • Experience in a creative or retail industry.
  • Previous managerial experience would be advantageous
  • Valid drivers license and own reliable transport
