Reporting to the Engineering Manager: Projects
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Workshop (RMA) Technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality workmanship and efficient workflow.
- Coordinate and prioritize repair, testing, and maintenance activities of BESS components and equipment in the workshop, ensuring timely completion and adherence to RMA procedures.
- Assign tasks and allocate resources effectively, considering technician skills, workload, and project priorities, to optimize team performance and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workshop, promoting a safe working environment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to streamline RMA processes, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain workshop equipment, tools, and inventory, ensuring availability, proper maintenance, and calibration of equipment and tools.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the workshop team, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), repair guidelines, and documentation templates, ensuring consistency and compliance with quality standards.
- Participate in project planning and resource allocation discussions, providing input on workshop requirements, timelines, and staffing needs.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers, providing updates on repair progress, warranty claims, and technical issues.
- Track and analyze workshop performance metrics, such as repair turnaround time, first-time fix rate, and customer satisfaction, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Grade 12
- Administration Diploma advantageous
- 3 4 years administrative experience
- Quality Assurance experience advantageous
- Microsoft Office Package
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Three years of progressively responsible experience supporting, implementing, and providing direct technical services in a complex network environment
