About The Role
A highly skilled Workshop Manager is sought to oversee the operations of Agri Feed tankers and refrigeration units for a company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing maintenance procedures, conducting regular maintenance, managing stock, and leading a team of technicians.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance/workshop management, preferably in the agricultural or refrigeration industry;
- Strong leadership and managerial skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
- Proficient in maintenance procedures and inventory management;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations;
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills;
- Willingness to travel between sites as needed.
- Implement maintenance procedures for Agri Feed tankers and perform major services as needed;
- Conduct maintenance on refrigeration units, ensuring optimal functionality;
- Oversee stock management, ensuring availability of necessary parts and supplies;
- Manage workshop operations, including delegating tasks and controlling preventive maintenance;
- Supervise purchasing activities, ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials;
- Lead and manage a team of 12 staff members, providing guidance and support as needed;
- Coordinate overtime and standby rosters to ensure adequate coverage;
- Generate reports on maintenance activities, inventory levels, and staff performance;
- Liaise with directors on a daily basis to provide updates and discuss operational matters;
- Manage operations across sites;
- Delegate mechanical work and oversee refurbishing of accident vehicles for both Agri and Refrigeration units;
- Conduct quality checks and implement control measures to ensure high standards are maintained;
