Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by actively selling our advanced meat processing equipment and solutions to clients within the meat equipment industrial sector. You will be responsible for identifying potential customers, understanding their specific requirements, and delivering tailored solutions that address their operational challenges. Your technical expertise, combined with exceptional interpersonal skills, will be instrumental in building strong client relationships and driving successful sales outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
- Identify and prospect new clients within the meat equipment industrial sector, including meat processors, and other relevant businesses.
- Conduct market research and analyse industry trends to identify potential growth opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs, and offering appropriate solutions.
- Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations of our equipment's features and benefits to potential customers.
- Collaborate with clients to design customized equipment solutions that align with their production requirements and budget constraints.
- Lead the sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing deals.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely sales proposals, quotations, and contracts.
- Work closely with the sales support team to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.
- Product Knowledge and Training:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in meat processing equipment and industry best practices.
- Provide technical training and support to customers on the proper use and maintenance of our equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline.
- Provide regular sales performance reports and analysis to the management team.
- Willingness to travel extensively to different provinces and occasionally to African countries to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Represent the company professionally and effectively during customer visits and trade shows.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record in technical sales, preferably within the meat equipment industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of meat processing operations and equipment requirements.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyse complex customer needs and propose suitable solutions.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including international travel to Africa.
